Fierce Love Can Move Mountains

I too, cry for the children.  Tears spent, love deeply spent, prayers given, knowing somehow they are received.…  My letter to the Children.

We are praying for you. In our hearts, we are with you.

I am trusting these prayers from so many of us will relieve some of your pain, my precious ones.  That somehow the darkness covering the windows, covering the light in you, is being lifted as we breathe, sending you our love, holding you in our gentle loving arms in the only way we know how. Trusting, wherever you are, somehow, you can feel our love…

The darkness is lifting this moment, as someone opens that door, not the door of fear, but the door of hope, sunlight breaking through, a kind face, that says, “Come, I will carry you home.  You are safe now.”

My arms enfold you now.

With an unflinching awareness of what you’ve been through,

with a love that trusts you can heal.

If fierce love can move mountains,

Then you can heal.

And heal you will…

My heart believes you will learn to smile again,

Your tender heart will strengthen and turn,

Like a flower turning naturally toward the sun,

Softening in time to become willing to open your heart

To life.

I love you with a fierce love, precious child.

I will protect you.  And I promise,

You will see butterflies again.

A time for Healing

I dedicate this heartfelt piece to the thousands of children who have been kidnapped and disappeared into the caverns of underground human trafficking. If you feel so moved, see the film called “The Sound of Freedom,” by Jim Caviezel.  It is a powerful film about one of the crimes against humanity we are witnessing in this time of seeming darkness on planet earth.  And yet it is hopeful, showing us this is also a time of awakening to our own power to help change these situations.  May we allow the light to break through in our own minds, to move beyond our busyness, to overcome the numbness of numbers, and to overcome the denial of painful truth living right below the surface of our lives. Though there may be grief, pain and anger in those of us who care, I’ve discovered these feelings can be transformed into a fierce form of love, of forgiveness and compassion, if consciously channeled for the purpose of healing the children. Children, our most precious resource, as a family, as a country, as a world.

Hope naturally springs eternal in the innocent heart of a child.  May we help keep it alive in them, through our thoughts, prayers and actions.  For whatever part you can play in their healing, I am grateful.  Fierce love can move mountains, especially when it becomes a collective effort by many hearts aflame.  Thank you.
