Seed Thoughts from Mother Nature
There is stillness in everything.
Listen for it.
Wait upon it.
When you find it, bow before it.
It is a deep pool of wonder.
How simple, how exquisite, the timing is for each heart to turn towards the light. Out of the darkness, the seed that was planted long ago suddenly hears its name called. The precise moment, the perfect moment. The moment when the golden light of sunset was just right, it framed your face before it slipped quietly into dusk.
Dusk, when the light fades into the presence between worlds, when the whippoorwill’s call opens the veil. The veil opens into the numinous, calling the beings who wake up from the dream as night falls.
Listen deeply, you’ll hear that call inside as if the whippoorwill is calling you. After the call, a cessation, all nature taking a deep inbreath in the stillness. Now, the outbreath, the heartbeat resumes, with the humming of the wild spirit of the night kingdoms.
Dusk itself crosses through the veil into the light of night.
In the light of night, you see beyond the meaning
the mind searches for in the light of day.
Here, your unbound spirit speaks: Follow me!
I follow into the forest.
Luminous beings show me a reflection of my soul
in a deep pool of wonder.
Be not afraid of the shiver in your spine. It is recognition of something precious beyond words. Let the mind relax and move your being into a state of emptiness. Receive the message from beyond, from your soul. A presence in the stillness nourishes, fills the soul. The aching loneliness, sadness and regret take their leave, ever so gently, take their leave. In their place, a tenderness inside, a tenderness for all life arises.
Listening deeply,
I rest in the sacred stillness
that I am.
There is a familiar comfort,
a belonging here,
as if I’ve entered the womb of The Mother.
The longing in my soul, quieted,
my thirst quenched,
I am One.
I am.
